Citroen India recently launched the new and updated 2022 Citroen C5 Aircross SUV to the Indian market. The C3 compact hatch was also launched recently to focus on more volumes. The next product from Citroen to India will be the 2023 C3 EV. And now the car has been spied testing for the first time on Indian roads.

The front fender of spied car was camouflaged and it looks to be covering the charging port. The EV will be based on the ICE C3 as the side profile and the design elements look the same as the ICE counterpart. However, we expect Citroen to make some noticeable cosmetic changes to differentiate itself from the regular model.
Talking about the powertrain and battery, it is expected to be offered with multiple battery options, one of which is the global-spec 50kWh battery pack with a WLTP-claimed range of over 350km, present in the Peugeot e-208 which is based on the same platform. The EV is expected to be powered by an electric motor that produces 136 bhp and 260Nm of torque. There’s a possibility that the EV could also feature a smaller battery pack with a range of about 300km.
The existing ICE C3 lacks basic features such as cruise control, rear wipers, rear defogger, manual adjustment for ORVMs and many more. The electric Citroen C3 is expected to be equipped with more features than its petrol counterpart.
The all-electric is expected to be launched in India by April 2023 with an expected starting price between Rs 10 lakh to Rs 14 lakh (ex-showroom).
When launched, the EV will compete with Tata Tiago EV and Tigor EV.
